Initial consultations are intended to understand your organisation, challenges and objectives and to determine whether there is an appropriate basis for working together. Any observations made during an initial consultation are preliminary and should not be relied upon as formal engineering advice.

Where we agree to work together, the scope, deliverables, responsibilities, fees, timescales, payment terms, confidentiality requirements and other conditions will be agreed separately in writing before work begins.

I reserve the right to decline an enquiry or engagement, including where there may be a conflict of interest, insufficient expertise, availability constraints or another reason that could prevent me from providing appropriate independent advice.

Information shared in connection with an enquiry or consultation will be treated professionally and with appropriate discretion. Where commercially sensitive or confidential information is required for an engagement, appropriate confidentiality arrangements can be agreed before that information is disclosed.

Recommendations are based on the information available at the time and the agreed scope of work. Clients remain responsible for their own business, operational, regulatory, safety and investment decisions and for determining whether recommendations are appropriate for implementation within their organisation.

My consulting activities are undertaken independently and in a personal professional capacity. Unless expressly stated otherwise, views, services and materials presented through this website are my own and do not represent, originate from or imply endorsement by any current or former employer, professional institution, university or other organisation with which I may be associated.
